The Lost & Damned's success went a long way towards justifying the $50 million dollars Microsoft reportedly paid to secure the exclusivity of GTA IV's downloadable content (DLC), but it also made the task of following it difficult to say the least. Not only was it the highest reviewed downloadable content ever released by Rockstar Games, but the gritty urban tale of the ructions within the ranks of a biker gang smashed all first-day revenue records for all previous downloadable content on Xbox LIVE. When Rockstar released its first downloadable episode Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost & Damned, it was both a commercial and critical hit. The Ballad Of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto 4's second DLC, trades biker leathers for bling as the action moves from skid row to the glitz and glamour of uptown.
